Tour of Stiltsville Video
An early morning video tour of Stiltsville Courtesy of Dade Heritage Trust
The small colorful houses that seem to float over the waters of Biscayne Bay more than a mile from shore, continue to intrigue locals and visitors alike.
The seven fragile looking Stiltsville house structures that remain today have weathered ferocioius hurricanes including Andrew in 1992 and later Wilma and Katrina. The houses are hardier than they appear and serve as a backdrop for an unusual history in Miami.
This early morning video tour of Stiltsville is a perfect example of why these colorful shacks are such an iconic part of Miami.
